Not all vanilla coffees are created equal — and ours starts where most never bother to look: at the bean itself. Our French Vanilla is built on a foundation of Specialty Grade, Single Origin coffee, scoring 80+ on the SCA scale, sourced from carefully selected lots where altitude, climate, and soil converge to produce something genuinely exceptional.
These are beans with natural sweetness already in their DNA — a clean, round body with low acidity and an inherent creaminess that makes them the perfect canvas for a classic French Vanilla profile. No harsh edges. No bitterness fighting the flavor. Just a smooth, well-structured base that lets every note breathe.
Single origin means full traceability — you know exactly where your cup comes from, and so do we. We choose it that way on purpose.
The Craft
Every bag of French Vanilla starts in our small-batch roaster, where precision is non-negotiable. We roast in limited quantities — never scaled beyond what we can control — to a smooth medium roast that preserves the bean's natural sweetness while developing the gentle caramelization that gives this coffee its signature silky body.
Immediately after the roast, while the beans are still warm and their surface pores are fully open, we apply high-quality French Vanilla flavoring oils directly to the bean. This isn't a coating — it's absorption. The warmth draws the flavor deep into the bean's structure, creating an integration that's aromatic, layered, and consistent from the first brew to the last scoop in the bag.
